No Reserve Classics is proud to present to you our 1968 Dodge Charger Restomod! Dodge's big news for 1968 was the new Charger Hardtop, a crisp redesign mostly remembered for the classic chase scene in Bullitt and the orange #01 General Lee from the popular television comedy The Dukes of Hazzard.
The 1968 Dodge Charger's shape was one of the most elegant renditions of the popular coke bottle and featured a slim full-width grille with hidden headlights, flying buttresses at the rear and a tunnel back window reminiscent of GM designs.
Finished in this Gloss Red with Black Vinyl R/T Stripes, this driver-quality Charger is ready to hit the open roads once again.
It retains its full-width hidden headlight grille, but an electric motor powered rotating headlights replaced the vacuum-operated cover.
Two round tail lights on each side are recessed in a black panel.
The electroluminescent gauges aka Rallye Gauges function and illuminate correctly.
A conventional folding bucket seat design replaced the fixed front bench seat leaving the area open to the availability to fit just about any shape or size driver to arrive in comfort.
The center console in the front remains, but there is no center armrest.
The conventional trunk area includes a vinyl mat, rather than the previous model's carpeted cargo area.
Even this model's engine 318Ci has been bored and stroked out to 340ci increasing its horsepower and overall torque band.
The 2 barrel carburetor has been upgraded to the 4 barrel carburetor sitting on top of this motor.
Options now included are air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, power disc brakes, heavy duty differential, 3-spoke steering wheel, dual exhaust, factory styled Retrosound radio with bluetooth, tachometer, 15 Mag Styled Wheels, and a black vinyl roof.
